Within AgriSETA, the Skills Planning & Research Division plays a critical role by identifying skills shortages, managing complex reporting systems, analysing data, and supporting evidence-based decision-making. As an intern in this division, you become part of a team that ensures the accuracy and reliability of national agricultural skills information.

What You Will Do During the Internship

Key Responsibilities

This internship is heavily focused on data capturing, administration, reporting, and document management. Your responsibilities include the following:

Data Capturing Responsibilities

You will assist with:

  • Updating and maintaining the AgriSETA database
  • Conducting quality control checks on captured data
  • Compiling weekly data reports for the Assistant Manager
  • Retrieving system reports from the Management Information System
  • Preparing quarterly SETMIS reports
  • Producing reports required by the Department of Higher Education and Training
  • Completing performance information reports
  • Analysing data trends
  • Keeping all supporting documentation organised
  • Verifying, enrolling, and authorising learner information for learning programmes

Data Management Responsibilities

Your role includes:

  • Compiling data whenever requested
  • Maintaining multiple internal datasets used across the division

Administrative Responsibilities

You will assist with:

  • General office administration
  • Organising administrative processes
  • Supporting the team with daily tasks

Additional Duties

You may also be required to perform any extra tasks assigned by the Assistant Manager: Reporting.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the AgriSETA Skills Planning & Research Internship, you must have one of the following:

  • N6
  • Diploma
  • A relevant qualification in Office Administration, Office Management, or a related field
