Who Should Apply?
You are eligible to apply if you:
- Reside in one of the host communities, including Bekkersdaal, Zuurberkom, Thusanang, Hillshaven, Westonaria, Poortjie, Simunye, Kalbasfontein, or Jachtfontein
- OR completed your Grade 12 at a school within any of the above communities
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or N3 qualification with two languages passed
- At least 2 years’ experience working in a mining operation
- Medically declared fit for the mining environment through a risk-based medical exam at Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre
- Successfully pass Heat Tolerance Screening and other required suitability tests
Key Responsibilities and Competencies
- Adhere strictly to all mine health and safety regulations
- Complete technical training as set by the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) and Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE)
- Maintain high performance in technical assessments and evaluations
- Take responsibility for personal career development by engaging actively with training teams and supervisors

- Promote teamwork and clear, effective communication
