In response, Thekwini TVET College, in partnership with the Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority (INSETA), is offering a 12-month IT Systems Development Learnership Programme specifically for unemployed youth.

About the Learnership

The Information Technology – Systems Development Learnership is a structured training programme that combines theory and practical experience. It’s designed to prepare young people for careers in IT by equipping them with essential skills in:

  • Systems analysis and design
  • Software development and testing
  • Application lifecycle management
  • Programming fundamentals

By the end of the programme, learners will be prepared for junior roles in the ICT sector or further study in software development and related fields.


Who Can Apply?

This opportunity is open to individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • South African citizens aged 18–35
  • Unemployed and not currently enrolled in any education, training, or employment programme
  • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate is the minimum qualification
  • Reside within Thekwini Municipality
  • Genuinely passionate about technology and systems development
