About the Apprentice Millwright Learnership
Heineken is inviting applications for its Apprentice Millwright Learnership Programme for 2025/2026, based at its Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) Manufacturing Plant within the Supply Chain Division. This programme offers young, motivated individuals the opportunity to develop their skills and gain hands-on experience in the trade of Millwright under the guidance of industry specialists.
Successful candidates will report to the Engineering Specialist and participate in a structured learning and training programme designed to prepare them for a recognized qualification as an Artisan.
Key Responsibilities
Participants in the Heineken Apprentice Millwright Learnership will be required to:
- Undergo formal and on-the-job training in the trade of Millwright.
- Take part in the company’s comprehensive apprenticeship programme.
- Consistently deliver high-quality work aligned with engineering standards.
- Perform allocated duties with accuracy and responsibility.
- Adhere strictly to all workplace safety procedures and company policies.
Skills and Competencies
To succeed in this learnership, candidates should demonstrate:
- Strong technical problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Minimum Educational Requirements
Applicants must meet the following educational criteria:
- Matric with Mathematics and Science.
- N2 qualification or Diploma in Engineering Studies, including relevant Electrical and Mechanical trade theory.
Additional Requirements
Candidates must also:
- Have their own reliable transport.
- Be willing to work shifts as required.
- Be open to relocation or temporary assignment at other Heineken Beverages plants or facilities when needed.
