SANRAL & WBHO/Cebekhulu JV In-Service Training Programme 2025 – Apply Now

The South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL), together with the WBHO/Cebekhulu Joint Venture, has launched its Community Skills Development Grant (CSDG) In-Service Training Programme for 2025. This initiative is linked to the SANRAL R.516-010-2019/1R contract, aimed at upgrading the National Road R516 Section 1, stretching from R516 (KM 0.00) to Tooyspruit (KM 36.67).

This programme is designed to empower young people within the Thabazimbi Local Municipality by providing much-needed workplace exposure that bridges the gap between academic learning and professional readiness.

Available Opportunities

P1 and P2 In-Service Training

  • Field of Study: Civil Engineering
  • Number of Opportunities: 3 Candidates
  • Duration: 12 Months
  • Who Can Apply: University and University of Technology students who require P1 and P2 training to complete their qualifications.

NATED (240 Credit Qualification) In-Service Training

  • Fields of Study: Civil Engineering and Quantity Surveying
  • Number of Opportunities: 3 Candidates
  • Duration: 18 Months
  • Who Can Apply: TVET College students who require Workplace Integrated Learning (WIL) to graduate.

Both opportunities are designed to give candidates hands-on experience on one of South Africa’s major infrastructure development projects.


Requirements for Application

  • Cover Letter stating the programme applied for
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) with updated personal details
  • Proof of Residence (not older than 3 months) confirming residence within the Thabazimbi Local Municipality
  • In-Service Requirement Letter:
    • From TVET College (for NATED applicants)
    • From University/University of Technology (for P1 & P2 applicants)
  • Certified Copies of ID and latest academic transcripts
