Vergenoeg Mining Company (Pty) Ltd is now accepting applications for its External Bursary Programme for the 2026 academic year. This opportunity is aimed at students pursuing or planning to study in specific engineering disciplines at recognised South African institutions.


Bursary Closing Date

Applications must be submitted no later than 27 July 2025 at 12h00.


Who Should Apply?

The bursary is open to South African students who meet the following requirements:

  • Must be studying or planning to study towards a Degree or National Diploma in one of the specified engineering fields.
  • Enrolled at, or accepted by, a recognised South African university or university of technology.
  • A minimum average of 60% for all current academic subjects is required.
  • Applicants must not be receiving any other bursary for the same academic year.
  • Grade 12 with matric exemption and an average level 5 across all relevant subjects.
  • A motivation letter explaining the reason for your application must be included.
