Bursary Coverage
The bursary is valued at R120 000 and will cover the following expenses:
- Tuition fees
- Textbooks
- Accommodation
- Meals
In addition, students will receive performance-based incentives for strong academic results:
- 65% to 69% average: R5 000 bonus
- 70% to 74% average: R10 000 bonus
- 75% and above: R15 000 bonus
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum entry requirements to qualify:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be in Matric or have completed Matric
- Must be studying or intending to study towards one of the listed STEM-related qualifications in 2026
- Must be registered or conditionally accepted at a recognised South African institution of higher learning
- Must have a minimum overall average of 60%
- Must achieve at least 65% for Mathematics, Science, and English
- Must pass all subjects if currently studying at tertiary level
- Must not already hold another bursary or financial assistance
Preference will be given to:
- Students from previously disadvantaged areas
- Female students
- Applicants passionate about and committed to entering the upstream oil and gas industry
