About the Internship Programme
The Talent Development Administrator Internship offers hands-on experience in the coordination and administration of TFG’s YES Youth Programme. Key Responsibilities
The intern will assist in several key areas to ensure the effective delivery of the YES Youth Programme, including:
1. Liaison & Communication
- Act as the central point of contact for all internal and external YES Youth queries.
- Manage a portfolio of stores, ensuring that recruitment and engagement targets are met.
- Conduct regular meetings with youth participants and store managers to assess progress and resolve challenges.
- Support retention initiatives through stay and exit interviews.
- Provide ongoing guidance to store managers and escalate potential concerns promptly.
2. Training Guidance and Evaluation (Data Management & Review)
- Maintain up-to-date training databases and records.
- Monitor learner activity on online learning platforms.
- Assist participants with login access and completion of training modules.
- Coordinate with the YES team to resolve technical issues on the platform.
- Facilitate and record Youth and Supervisor App training sessions.
3. Documentation and Supervision (Process Management)
- Capture new recruits on internal systems accurately and promptly.
- Manage supporting documentation to ensure full BEE compliance.
- Liaise with suppliers on invoicing, payments, and delivery coordination.
- Oversee document archiving and the distribution of necessary devices to programme participants.
4. Reporting and Compliance
- Compile bi-weekly recruitment and retention reports.
- Record reasons for employee terminations and track trends.
- Manage HRSM calls related to the YES Programme.
- Take meeting minutes and handle other administrative reporting duties.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) qualification is required.
- A Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field is advantageous.
- 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience in a retail or HR environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the retail sector, business operations, and profitability principles.
- Customer relationship management experience will be beneficial.
