Purpose of the Role
The main purpose of this position is to ensure that company products are correctly displayed in retail stores and that stock levels are maintained. The Merchandiser will also assist with promotional displays and support sales teams during in-store promotions.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will perform several merchandising and sales support duties.
Product Merchandising
Assist with unpacking and price marking of company products at specific retailers
Ensure products on display are neat, organised, and attractive
Check that products are not damaged or shop-soiled
Maintain adequate stock levels on shelves
Identify problems that may affect stock turnover or sales performance
Promotions
Assist in setting up promotional displays in stores
Support the Regional Sales Representative during in-store promotions
Help ensure that promotional activities are executed effectively
Stock Counts
Conduct stock counts at specific retailers when required
Complete stock counts before replacement orders are taken
Assist with stock upliftment during the company’s bi-annual polypacket changeover
Public Relations
Maintain professional behaviour when representing the company in stores
Promote a positive image of the organisation when interacting with customers and retailers
Minimum Requirements

Qualifications
Grade 12 National Senior Certificate
Experience
One to two years of experience working as a merchandiser
Other Requirements
Code 8 driver’s licence is essential
