Siza Water is calling on eligible students from the Dolphin Coast concession area in KwaZulu-Natal (stretching between Etete and Zimbali) to apply for its 2026 Bursary Programme. Fields of Study Covered

The Siza Water Bursary will be awarded in the following study areas:

  • Engineering (Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical)
  • Environmental Management
  • Financial Management
  • Town and Regional Planning
  • Trades (Electrician, Fitters, Millwright, Plumbing)
  • Water & Sewer Treatment Process Control

What the Bursary Covers

Successful applicants will receive financial support for:

  • Tuition fees
  • Prescribed textbooks

The bursary is renewable annually, provided the student maintains satisfactory academic results and passes all subjects

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Be a South African citizen.
  • Reside in the Siza Water concession area (Dolphin Coast, KZN).
  • Be in Matric (2025) or have completed Matric.
  • Be studying or accepted to study full-time at a recognised South African institution (University, University of Technology, TVET, Technical College, or SAQA-approved).
  • Achieve a minimum 65% overall average in 2025.
  • Achieve at least 65% in the subject relevant to the chosen field of study.
  • Have a total household income not exceeding R15 000 per month.
  • Preference will be given to historically disadvantaged students, particularly females and Black students (African, Coloured, Indian).

Required Documents

Applicants must submit certified copies of the following:

  • South African ID document/card
  • Grade 11 final results and latest Matric results/certificate
  • Most recent academic transcript (if already studying)
  • Proof of acceptance for 2026 studies
  • Parents/guardians’ proof of income (latest 3 months’ payslips, affidavit, pension/grant proof)
  • Statement of household income and expenses
  • Death certificate (if applicable)
  • Divorce certificate (if applicable)
  • Proof of disability (doctor’s letter, if applicable)
  • Proof of residence (original signed letter from Local Ward Councillor)

Important: Incomplete applications will not be considered.
