About the Sanlam Corporate Learnership Programme

Sanlam Corporate, a division of the Sanlam Group, is offering a Youth Empowerment Programme (YEP) designed to provide unemployed youth with valuable workplace exposure and training. The programme focuses on building a diverse, future-ready talent pipeline within the financial sector.

Learners who show exceptional performance may be considered for permanent entry-level roles at the end of the learnership.


What the Programme Includes

If selected, you’ll receive:

  • A fixed 12-month employment contract
  • A monthly stipend
  • Full classroom training with regular assessments
  • Mentorship and on-the-job coaching
  • Financial support to complete the qualification
  • Practical work experience aligned to the curriculum
  • A completed Portfolio of Evidence and workplace logbook

What You’ll Be Doing

During the programme, participants will:

  • Learn about Sanlam’s financial products and services
  • Participate in structured classroom learning sessions
  • Gain practical experience on-site under supervision
  • Complete assessments and build a professional portfolio
  • Record daily learning in a workplace logbook

Minimum Requirements to Apply

To be considered, you must:

  • Be a South African citizen, aged 18–35 years
  • Be currently unemployed and not studying or holding a tertiary qualification
  • Have completed Grade 12 with:
    • At least 50% in English
    • At least 50% in Maths, Maths Literacy, or Accounting
  • Have a clear criminal and credit record
  • Have access to reliable transport
  • Be fluent in spoken and written English
