The Artisan Bridge Learnership provides qualified artisans with structured product training and hands-on experience in mining machine maintenance and rebuilds. Participants will gain exposure to Sandvik’s high-performance technologies, learn practical maintenance techniques, and develop problem-solving skills essential for working in a global industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Learners will be expected to:
- Follow all conditions outlined in the employment agreement and company policies.
- Perform assigned duties diligently and professionally.
- Adhere to lawful instructions and maintain workplace discipline.
- Work towards achieving the required competencies as per the training plan.
- Complete training modules and assessments as scheduled.
- Maintain accurate training records and present them when required.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Science or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum N2 Certificate in Engineering Studies (compulsory).
- Qualified Millwright – applicants with an Electrician qualification will also be considered.
- Possess a Section 13 or Section 26D Trade Certificate, with proof of modules, apprenticeship, or Portfolio of Evidence (POE).
- Physically and medically fit for work in a mining environment.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (attach certificate).
Preference will be given to candidates residing in or near the following areas:
Secunda, Ogies, Middelburg, Ulundi, Witbank, Delmas, Piet Retief, Burgersfort, Lydenburg, Springbok, Kathu, and Lime Acres.
