Mthashana TVET College WIL Programme 2025 – Now Open (Funded by CATHSSETA)

For many college graduates, one major hurdle stands in the way of getting a diploma or landing a real job: experience. That’s where Mthashana TVET College steps in — with a powerful, fully funded Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme made possible through its partnership with CATHSSETA.

If you’ve completed your N6 qualification or NCV Level 4 in Tourism Management or Hospitality Management, this could be the final push you need to move from graduate to employed professional.

Closing Date: 31 July 2025
Programme Sponsor: Culture, Arts, Tourism, Hospitality, and Sport Sector Education and Training Authority (CATHSSETA)

Why This WIL Programme Is a Game Changer

Let’s face it — getting a diploma without work experience often feels like a catch-22. You can’t get hired without experience, and you can’t get experience without being hired. That’s exactly why this initiative was created.

Through structured workplace placements, the WIL Programme bridges that gap, helping you:

  • Complete the work-based learning requirement for your diploma
  • Gain meaningful industry experience
  • Improve your confidence and technical skills
  • Boost your chances of landing a job in your chosen field

All placements are fully funded by CATHSSETA, which means you’ll receive the support you need throughout your in-service training or work exposure.
