About the Internship Programme

The Mossel Bay Municipality Internship Programme is designed to support unemployed graduates who have successfully completed a three-year Degree or National Diploma from a recognised higher education institution.

Successful candidates will gain practical exposure and training in areas such as:

• Tourism
• Marketing
• Business Administration
• Investment Promotion

Through this internship, participants will acquire essential workplace skills, enhance their employability, and gain an understanding of municipal operations and community development initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

To be eligible for the Mossel Bay Municipality Internship Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Hold a National Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6 or higher) in one of the following or related fields:
  • Tourism Management
  • Marketing
  • Local Economic Development
  • Business Administration
  • Investment Promotion
• Possess a valid Code B driver’s licence (manual vehicle).
• Be fluent in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
• Be computer literate (proficient in MS Office applications).
• Must not have been previously employed as an intern in the Public Sector.
• Must be willing to work overtime when required.
