- Should not suffer from phobias such as claustrophobia or acrophobia.
- Prior experience or knowledge in fire and rescue work is advantageous.
- Hardworking, disciplined, and reliable candidates will be preferred.
- A minimum of three months of internship experience will be an added advantage.
Preference will be given to applicants residing within the Sedibeng Region.
Duties and Responsibilities
During the internship, successful candidates will be expected to:
- Execute daily tasks and instructions from the Station Officer.
- Test, inspect, and maintain firefighting vehicles and equipment.
- Clean and ensure the readiness of all operational tools and vehicles.
- Report any malfunctions or faults to the supervising officer.
- Assist in fire suppression operations and rescue missions.
- Respond to grass, wildland, and structural fires.
- Participate in rescue and recovery operations.
- Safeguard life and property during emergencies.
- Support control room operations when required.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by senior officers.
