Marsh McLennan Learnership Programme 2026

Marsh McLennan is offering a valuable learnership opportunity for young South Africans who have completed Matric and are eager to begin their professional journey within the insurance and risk advisory sector. This 12-month Learnership Programme is based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, and is aimed at unemployed youth seeking structured workplace exposure combined with formal learning.

Learnership Overview

The Marsh McLennan Learnership Programme runs for a period of 12 months and offers participants the opportunity to study while receiving on-the-job training. Learners who successfully complete the programme will obtain a Higher Certificate in Short Term Insurance.

Participants will also receive a monthly stipend for the full duration of the learnership, along with exposure to a professional working environment that supports growth, development, and career progression.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet all the qualifying criteria to be considered for this learnership. Candidates must have completed Matric or Grade 12 with English passed as a first or second language, and Mathematics passed with a minimum of 60 percent.

Applicants must be in possession of a valid Matric certificate or official statement of results as proof of having passed Matric in 2025 or earlier. Only South African citizens between the ages of 18 and 25 will be considered.

Candidates must be available to start the programme on 01 February 2026 and must reside in or close to Johannesburg, Gauteng. Applicants must not have previously participated in any SETA-funded initiative and must not be currently enrolled in post-Matric studies or formal employment.

Required Application Documents

Applicants must ensure that all required documents are ready to upload at the time of application. These include a detailed CV, a certified copy of a South African ID, and a Matric certificate or official statement of results.

Applications submitted without both an ID copy and Matric certificate will not be considered.

Learners will not be permitted to participate in any post-Matric studies or other learning initiatives while registered on the Marsh McLennan Learnership Programme.
