About IPID
The Independent Police Investigative Directorate plays a critical role in ensuring accountability within policing structures. It investigates complaints of misconduct and criminality against members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) and Municipal Police Services. By joining the IPID internship programme, graduates will actively contribute to protecting human rights, strengthening public trust, and supporting transparency in law enforcement.
Programme Overview
The IPID Graduate Internship Programme 2025 is aimed at unemployed graduates who have not yet gained work experience related to their qualifications.
- Open to South African youth between the ages of 18 and 35.
- Internship placement is linked to the applicant’s province of residence.
