BKB Ltd is opening doors for young South Africans living with disabilities through its transformative Disability Learnership Programme 2025. Focused on New Venture Creation (SAQA 49648 – NQF Level 2), this 12-month programme offers a blend of business theory and practical fibre training designed to empower learners with the tools to thrive in South Africa’s agricultural sector.
About the Learnership
This learnership runs for one full year and is based in Gqeberha/Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. Successful candidates will gain valuable workplace experience at BKB’s wool and mohair operations while studying toward an accredited qualification. A monthly stipend is provided in accordance with relevant regulations, ensuring financial support throughout the programme.
Who Should Apply?
This opportunity is geared toward unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 29 who are living with disabilities and eager to pursue a career in agriculture or entrepreneurship. To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Minimum Criteria:
- Be a South African citizen and currently unemployed
- Hold a minimum of a Grade 10 certificate
- Be between 18 and 29 years old
- Be living with a disability (supported by a valid medical certificate)
- Not currently registered on another learnership or studying
- Must not have completed SAQA 49648 before
- Able to communicate effectively and manage time well
- Physically able to handle hands-on work, including long hours
