About the ATNS Engineering Learnership 2025-2027

ATNS is inviting six (6) enthusiastic and proactive candidates to apply for its Engineering Learnership based in Johannesburg. The programme spans 24 months and includes mentorship, coaching, and structured logbook guidance to ensure a comprehensive learning experience.

Learnership Structure

  1. First 3 months: Basic training at the Air Traffic Academy (ATA).
  2. Next 5 months: On-the-job experience while continuing ATA training at one of ATNS’s operational centers across South Africa.
  3. Remaining period: Full-time on-site exposure at designated Operational Centers.

After the 24-month learnership, ATNS may consider permanent placement depending on performance, competence, and available opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the ATNS Engineering Learnership 2025-2027, applicants must:

  • Have completed or be about to complete a 3-year National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Light Current) or a Bachelor of Engineering Technology Degree from a University of Technology in the following fields:
    • Computer Engineering
    • Electronic Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering (Light Current)
  • Be a South African citizen with a valid Identity Document.
  • Demonstrate computer literacy, especially with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Be proactive and committed to learning and development.
  • Meet ambitious performance goals and programme standards.
