Main Purpose

The Plastics Technician Apprenticeship is a structured 4-year programme designed to equip learners with technical skills in plastics manufacturing. Successful candidates will undergo both theoretical and hands-on training at ALPLA’s Lanseria site.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 / Matric with:
    • Mathematics ≥ 50% (Maths Literacy is not accepted)
    • Physical Science ≥ 50%
  • N2–N3 Engineering studies with relevant trade theory (Mechanical or Electrical)
  • OR NCV Level 2–4 related engineering studies from a TVET College
  • N3 and above in Engineering studies will be advantageous
  • Applications must include a CV with statement of results or qualifications
