What This Internship Offers
As part of this graduate programme, you’ll be immersed in a fast-paced environment designed to help you grow professionally while making a meaningful contribution to ABB’s operations. You will be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting operational efficiency by monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and tracking order status to ensure timely delivery
- Identifying trends and process inefficiencies, and collaborating with internal teams to implement improvements
- Participating in regular training sessions and meetings to stay aligned with company policies and best practices
- Practicing and refining your skills, seeking feedback, and learning continuously throughout the programme
Internship Functional Areas
You will be placed in one of the following departments, depending on your qualification and interests:
Corporate Marketing and Communication
Gain experience in corporate branding, internal and external communications, and event planning.
Supply Chain Management or Logistics
Support transportation, logistics, trade compliance, and supply chain processes to ensure seamless operations.
Human Resource Management
Learn about employee lifecycle management, payroll, learning and development, compensation and industrial relations.
Finance or Accounting
Work within business control and accounts payable, assisting with financial planning and analysis tasks.
Occupational Health & Safety
Be involved in promoting health and safety standards, while contributing to ABB’s workplace safety initiatives.
Information Technology or Information Systems
Participate in the management of enterprise systems, tech support, and IT operations.
Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for this graduate internship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Must hold a university degree in one of the following fields:
- Finance
- Accounting
- Human Resources
- Supply Chain or Logistics
- Occupational Health & Safety
- Marketing & Communication
- Information Technology or Information Systems
- Must be a South African citizen
- Should have no more than two years of work experience
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Must demonstrate:
