The HR Internship is a 24-month structured programme designed to provide practical, hands-on exposure to all major HR functions. The successful candidate will work closely with the HR Manager and HR team at Sandvik’s Spartan offices in Kempton Park.

Key Responsibilities
The appointed HR Intern will support the HR department with a wide range of administrative and operational tasks, including:
Assisting with recruitment administration, interview scheduling, and reference checks
Supporting onboarding processes, induction preparation, and maintaining employee files
Updating HR registers, trackers, and training records
Assisting with Skills Development initiatives and merSETA evidence collection
Supporting Employment Equity Committee administration and data updates
Preparing documentation for HR processes and statutory compliance
Assisting with payroll input verification and logging employee queries
Providing general HR administrative support to the HR team
These responsibilities ensure exposure to both strategic and operational HR activities.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for the Sandvik HR Internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
A Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management
Computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
