Student Nurse Training Programme Overview

Admission Requirements

You must hold a Senior Certificate with endorsement (Matric exemption) or a National Senior Certificate with a Bachelor’s Degree pass. A minimum of 24 points on the rating scale is required, excluding Life Orientation. Applicants must also be South African citizens.

Minimum Requirements for Compulsory Subjects

Limpopo College of Nursing has specific subject requirements that applicants must meet. The minimum criteria for each subject include:

• English: HG E / Level 4
• Biology/Life Sciences: HG E / Level 4
• Physical Sciences: HG E / Level 4

Administration Fees

Training Details

The Diploma in Nursing (General) is a three-year programme offered across four campuses: Giyani, Sovenga, Thohoyandou and Sekhukhune. The course follows the guidelines of SANC Regulation R.171 of 8 March 2013. Once learners complete the programme, they will receive a Diploma endorsed by the Moderating Higher Education Institution, allowing them to register with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
