National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) TVET and Graduate Internships 2026

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) is inviting unemployed South African learners and graduates to apply for its TVET Placement and Graduate Internship Programme for the 2026–2028 intake. This initiative provides valuable workplace exposure and development opportunities across various offices of the NPA nationwide.

About the Programme

This internship and placement initiative forms part of the NPA’s commitment to youth development and skills enhancement in line with the Public Service Sector Internship Framework. It offers practical workplace experience aligned to each candidate’s higher education or TVET qualification, preparing them for long-term career prospects within public service and the justice sector.

Preference will be given to persons with disabilities, and the programme will run for 24 months on a once-off basis (previous participants may not reapply).

Duration: 24 months (2026–2028)
Stipend: R6 659.25 to R7 142.00 per month (as per DPSA developmental programme guidelines)

Successful candidates will be placed at:

  • NPA Head Office (Pretoria)
  • DPP Regional Offices across all provinces in South Africa

Who Should Apply

To be considered for the NPA’s 2026 internship programme, applicants must meet the following generic requirements:

  • Be a South African citizen with no criminal record or pending cases.
  • Be unemployed and not previously participated in any internship or work-integrated learning programme.
  • Reside in the province where the placement is advertised.
  • Apply for only one centre (multiple applications will result in disqualification).
  • Be available for fingerprint and social media verification, if shortlisted.

Qualification Categories

  • Graduate Internships (NQF 6 and above): R7 142.00 per month
  • TVET N6/NC(V)/Matric placements: R6 659.25 per month
